Guess who is home?!

Today was the day! Lily drove over to the local farm to pick up her puppy! He had just turned 3 months old so it was safe for him to be adopted out and go to a new home. As soon as we parked in the driveway, you could hear the barking of the dogs in the backyard. Lily had a smile on her face the entire time, and she entered the yard, where the owners were waiting. The puppies were in a even bigger pen this time, and they were all stumbling over each other with their long legs. Her boy was wearing a blue bandana and was hopping over his brothers and sisters. 

We spoke to the owner for some time before bringing us over to the pen. We had a leash and collar ready, which she helped to set up on him. Once he was ready to go, she lifted him out of the pen and over to us. He pulled on the leash as he ran in circles around us, weaving between our legs, and, and jumping up on our shirts. 

"Thank you so much!" Lily said over and over again as we walked to leave. The dogs behind us barked, but their brother was too excited to be going somewhere new to notice it.  

We brought him into the car with us, and drove back to our house. The drive was fun, with the smell of new puppy filling up our noses. As soon as we got back, we were told that one of the trainers had taken Morpho and Brandy out for some herding, and that Bluebell was with someone else in a different part of the house. So we brought the new puppy into the living room, where we found a sleeping Daisy. 

Once the new puppy walked in, Daisy jumped up and began sniffing him. Noses exploring each other and with tails wagging, the two dogs stayed quiet and circled each other. Suddenly the puppy barked and began to run in circles around the room. He jumped onto the ottoman where he found sanctuary from Daisy. However the Kelpie just sighed and lay back down.
